Tauheedah (Mother Hayes) Stephens was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She is a Florida certified teacher and a graduate of Florida International University. After working with students from many different walks of life, she was inspired to help young children get excited about reading. This prompted her to create Mother Hayes Books. As a wife and mother of four children, she finds great pleasure in getting ideas for new stories from her family life.
